Found in The State 16 June 1905: Mr. Gustavus T. Berg died last night at midnight at his home, 1013 Gates street, after an illness of three weeks. Mr. Berg was 82 years of age and was apparently quite hale (?) for one of that age, but for several years and not engaged in the work of his profession, that of architect. The deceased was a native of Konnesburg, Germany, and came to this country in 1856. He is survived by his widow, four sons and two daughters. His sons are Jno. L., R. E., A. H., and O. H. Berg. Mr. Berg was at one time connected with the office of Mr. Niernsee, the archictect who planned the State capitol.

Found in The State 17 June 1905: Funeral services over the remains of Mr. G. T. Berg, who died at his residence Thursday night, will be held at Ebenezer Lutheran church at 10 o'clock this morning. The interment will take place in Elmwood cemetery.

Note: this person is not listed in the Elmwood Cemetery books, therefore, square and plot information is unknown. Three of his children are buried together. It is possible he is buried with them in an unmarked grave.
