Mrs. Mary Brock Dead
Mrs. Mary Brock, widow of the late James Brock, died Tuesday of this week at the home of her son, Dr. G. S. Brock, after only a short illness with pneumonia. Funeral services were conducted at the home Thursday morning and the remains, accompanied by a large number of friends, were taken to the family burying grounds at Providence for burial.
Mrs. Brock, who before her marriage was a Miss Rowland and prominently connected throughout the county, was the mother of nine sons, six of whom survived her and were with her in her last moments. They are John, Woods, Foster, G. S., Fount and Jack Brock. Those who preceded her to the grave were Wm., Dan and Charlie Brock.
The Sentinel joins their many large number of friends to express sympathy to the bereaved family.
