Ethel Ann (Mull) Lucas Threlkeld, 95, died at 6:30 PM Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, in Heritage Healthcare, West Lafayette. Daughter of the late Thomas and Lillie Mull, she was born April 5, 1909, at Salem, IN, and was a life resident of Lafayette. Her first marriage was to Norman Lucas on Dec. 12, 1925, and he died in November 1955. In 1954, she married Russell Harold Threlkeld, in Lafayette, and he died in March 1979. Mrs. Threlkeld worked as a nurses aide at Lafayette Home Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting.

Surviving are children from her first marriage, two sons, Jerry Lucas (wife Bonnie) of Lafayette and Robert Lucas (wife Janet) of Delphi; three daughters, Lois Smith (husband Jim), Louann Jewel, both of Lafayette, and Linda Nefsger of Rockfalls, IL; two sisters, Mabel Packer and Doris Brooks, both of Lafayette; 23 grandchildren, numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by four sons, Harold Lucas, Donald Lucas, Daniel Lucas, and Marvin Lucas; five grandchildren and three brothers.
