Joseph D. Williamson, 74, of Sullivan, formerly of Bethany passed away 11:11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Care Center, Mattoon.

Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Penn Township Cemetery, Moweaqua with Military services by the Bethany American Legion Post # 507. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Joseph was born November 12, 1938 in Bernie, MO, the son of David and Lura (Davis) Williamson. He was an Army veteran. He married Linda V. Funk on December 19, 1956 in Findlay. Joseph was a retired truck driver for Transport Services, Decatur. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Sullivan. He was fond of his cat Thomas O'Malley and his dog Babe.

He is survived by his wife, Linda of Sullivan; daughters, Darla K. (Leonard) Turner of Neoga, Michelle A. Williamson of Sullivan, Donna J. Williamson of Sebastopal, CA; grandchildren, Kyle D. Albritton of Neoga, Kathy J. Albritton of Janesville, James A. Turner of Neoga and Randy L. Williamson of Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Arya J. Albritton and Aryssa J. Greenwood.
