Funeral services for Johnnie Mae Bailey, 77, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Fairview Methodist Church, the Rev. J. Braswell, Darryl Bailey, Wallace Pearson and Eric Bailey officiating, with interment in Etha Cemetery in Cullman. The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bailey died Thursday, March 7, at her residence. She was born Sept. 2, 1935, in Cullman to Johnnie Garland and Ophia Mae Landers Pearson. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thomas Pearson; a sister-in-law, Nancy Pearson; and a son-in-law, Joseph Richards.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Sanford Bailey; two sons, Darryl (Teresa) Bailey and Clinton Bailey; five daughters, Denise (Larry) Anderson, Camellia Richards, Josie Stanford, Sherri (Robert) Barber and Celia Bladow; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, June (Ronnie) Moon; and two brothers, Wallace (Carol) Pearson and Jerome Pearson.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Proverbs 31, v. 28: Her children arise up and call her blessed. v. 29: Many daughters have done virtuously, but you excellest them all.
