Retired Farmer B. S. House Dies

B. S. House, 71, retired farmer, died between midnight and 6 a.m. Sunday at the home of his son, Roy House, 1621 East Richards Street, after an illness of only a few days. His death, caused by a heart attack, came unexpectedly while he slept and was not discovered until relatives went to wake him Sunday morning.

House was born Feb. 25, 1866, in Georgia. He formerly lived at Gladewater but had been visiting his son here for some time. He retired from active farming several years ago.

His funeral cortege will leave Tyler at 10 a.m. Monday for Sachse, 20 miles north of Dallas, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon with Rev. Ben Snyder of McKinney officiating. Burial will take place in the Wylie cemetery, near Sachse. under the direction of the Burks-Walker-Daniel funeral home of Tyler.

Besides the son he was visiting here, House is survived by three other sons, Lloyd House of Tyler, Lester House, who is in the United States army stationed at Manila, P. I., and Rex B. House of Dallas, and two daughters, Mrs. M. T. Massey of Frisco and Mrs. F. S. Poynter of Dallas.
