Kay was a member of St John Ev Lutheran Church in Reedsburg. She enjoyed craftwork and babysitting.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her children, Sandy (Greg) Deakin of Cambria, Martin (Maqui) Heeren of South America, John Heeren and Shelley of Wisconsin Dells, Bonnie (Mark) Obis of Wisconsin Dells and Tracy Pierce of Reedsburg; 6 grandchildren; siblings, Bernard Langland of New Lisbon, Rosemarie (David) Singer of Lyndon Station, Marilyn (Herman) Richardson of Adams, Michael (Kenlyn) Langland of Sheboygan, Jerry (Barb) Langland of Lyndon Station, Cecilia Langland and Dale Schultz of Lyndon Station, Peter Langland of Lyndon Station and Nancy (Jack) Erickson of Lyndon Station; close friend, Gail Schultz; many nieces, nephews with other relatives and friends.
