According to family history from Glover McCauslin of Marceline Missouri (Descendant of James Glover who was son of Joshua. Glover said that his Grandfather (James Glover) gave him a little square and said Joshua used it to build the house. James was little then and remembers them building the house. Glover McCauslin inherited the building square from his grandfather James Lewis Glover and donated the square to the Bucklin History Museum where it is on display.
