Son of Charles Glover 1794 MD - 1857 MO and Susannah Baskett 1800 Ky - 1876 MO.

Charles Glover moved his family to Lafayette County, Missouri in 1843 when Joshua was about 16 years old.

On the 1850 census for Lafayette County, Missouri, Joshua was living in his fathers household and was about 23 years old.

In 1860, Joshua was 32 years old and living in Linn County, Missouri with his wife Elizabeth 25 and children; James L. 6, Cornelia 4 and George 2.

Joshua Glover and his brothers built the first frame house in Bucklin Missouri. According to family history from Glover McCauslin of Marceline Missouri (Descendant of James Glover who was son of Joshua. Glover said that his Grandfather (James Glover) gave him a little square and said Joshua used it to build the house. James was little then and remembers them building the house. Glover McCauslin inherited the building square from his grandfather James Lewis Glover and donated the square to the Bucklin History Museum where it is on display.
