MRS. FITZGERALD DIES THURSDAY

Clarion - Mrs. Bertha Mabel Fitzgerald, 88, of Clarion died at 6 a.m. Thursday at her home. She was the widow of Edward Fitzgerald.

Mrs. Fitzgerald was born in Paint Township, Clarion County, Sept. 24, 1884, the daughter of David and Esther Black Beers.

In 1912 she married Edward Vincent Fitzgerald who preceded her in death in 1970.

Mrs. Fitzgerald was affiliated with the Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Hugo (Florence) Johnson of Warren, and Mrs. John (Frances) Gould of Tylersburg; two brothers, Curtis Beers of Shippenville RD, and Milo Beers of Clarion RD; a niece, Mrs. James (Betty) Fagley of Shippenville RD 1; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Kenneth, four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. James Thomas officiating.

Interment will be in Foxburg Cemetery.
