Passed away at the Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday, March 5th, 2013 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of 62 years to Joan. Loving father of Joanne (Battista), Bonnie (Daniel), Leslie, Heather (Ken), Douglas (Jan), David (Susan), Richard, and James. Proud Grampy of Donna, Sonia, Michael (Nicole), Sarah (Shayne), Melissa (Duy), Cameron, Nolan, Ryan, Matthew, Jake and Jordan. Great-grandfather of Jenna, Brayden, and Ryland. Predeceased by his parents Nelson and Levina, as well as by his siblings Faye, Grant, and Marion. He will be missed by all, including his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME - Township Chapel, 435 Davis Drive (Taylor-Kidd Blvd. at Centennial Dr.) on Thursday, March 7th from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Friday, March 8th at 1 p.m. Interment in Glenhaven Memorial Gardens, Glenburnie. Donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation in honour of the caring staff and medical team on Kidd 7 at the KGH would be appreciated by the family.
