He was born in Lincoln, Ill., on May 6, 1946, to Charles and Betty Diebert [Deibert] Crowe. He married Sandra Fenwick on Aug. 14, 1981, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Cindi (and Rob) Dickerson of Dunlap, and Timothy Crowe and Deanna Crowe, both of Peoria; stepsons, Michael Mullens of West Peoria and Brian (and Danielle) Mullens of Chillicothe; his mother, Betty Crowe of Peoria; brothers and sisters, Gloria (and Perry) Walcott, Kathy Crowe, Barb (and Chuck) Castle, Debbie (and Dennis) Isabell [Isbell], Jim (and Debra) Crowe, Beverly (and Gary) McDaniels, Tommy Crowe, Peggy (and Jim) Underwood, Bob (and Chris) Crowe and Angie (and Dan) Smith, all of Peoria; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was a United States Navy veteran.
He was a member of Grace and Peace Lutheran Church.
He was an office manager for Caterpillar Inc. for 36 years, retiring in 2000.
Services will be at 12 noon Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at Grace and Peace Lutheran Church. The Rev. Wayne Shelksohn will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the church. Burial with military honors will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens. The Wilton Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Grace and Peace Lutheran Church Building Fund.
