From Der Nord Westen, 04 Feb. 1897:
Death in Mishicott Tues. last week, after many years of illness,
of Fritz Bruemmer, an old settler of that town. Mr. Bruemmer served
during the war with the 27th Wisconsin Regiment, and much of his
illness can be ascribed to that service. He was one of the foremost
citizens of Mishicott and reached the age of 76 yrs. He is survived
by his widow.
Civil War record and Stone shows death date Jan 26 although tombstone is engraved for death as Jan 6. The stone showing he, his wife and father-in-law was undoubtedly a replacement for the civil war stone. Per find-a-grave member #47544482.
