Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Gridley Funeral Chapel for Ricky D. Ramsey, 23, of Gridley, who died suddenly Thursday, Feb. 17, at Oroville Medical Center. He had suffered from muscular dystrophy all his life.
A native of Oroville, born December 16, 1953, he had resided in the Gridley area all of his life.
Surviving are his parents, Jake and Nancy Ramsey of Gridley, and a sister, Mrs. Judy Hudson of Thermalito.
Rev. Kenneth Bird of the Live Oak Assembly of God Church officiated at the services. LaVerne Roggow was the organist and Roy Turner, soloist.
Interment was in the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.
Memorials to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation in his name are suggested and can be left or mailed in care of the chapel.
