Samuel A. (Augustus) Mack family were residents of Hounsfield, Jefferson Co., NY; Adams, Jefferson County, NY; and last in Watertown, Jefferson County, NY>
In the latter years of his life, Samuel was blind, yet he took on the responsibility, with hired help, of maintaining his farm and supporting his widowed daughter, Delia daughter and her daughter; as well as Apollonia Mack (nee Leininger), the wife of his beloved son, John Clinton Mack, and their only child, a daughter, Delia Augusta Mack.
After Samuel A. Mack's first wife died, Thankful Mack, nee Bailey, he married her sister, Elizabeth A. Bailey, who helped him on the farm and who helped Apollonia Mack, John's widow.
