She was born in Ohio and lived in Mebane for 20 years where she attended Mebane Gospel Chapel. Lois was a dealer in antiques with her husband.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda McAlister from Dallas, Texas; sons, David Johnston and Tim Johnston from Ohio; brother, Paul Stengel from Ohio and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. G.F. Stengel and Marie Domrose Stengel and her husband Gerald Acord.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Private burial will be at Graham Memorial Park.
