Funeral services for Alex L. Agee, 75 years of age, were held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ed Osborne, on Maple St., Thursday, April 13, at 2:00 p.m. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Veech A. Jones, assisted by the Rev. J. W. Furkin. Burial was in the Brookside Cemetery. Mr. Agee was born February 6, 1875 in Clinton County and was the son of Isabel Polston and Pleas Agee. He died at the Rosary Hospital, Tuesday, April 11, at 10:15 p.m. Mr. Agee was a member of the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mr. Agee is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eunice Harris Agee and two children: Mrs. Marshall Stearns, Clinton County, and Mrs. Ed Osborne of this city; and five step-children: Virgil Dickens, Cane Valley; Will Young, Taylor County; Delmar Dickens, city; Mrs. John Smith, Taylor County; and Silas Harris, city. Besides wife and children, he is survived by two brothers: Willie and Bryant Agee, both of Clinton County. Pallbearers were: Dr. C. V. Hiestand, Sam Newton, Rollin McFall, Walter Higgason, Clyde Reed, and Joe Morris. ~The News-Journal, Thursday, April 27, 1950
