She is survived by four sons, Antwan Holton of Waldorf, Md., Kelsey Monroe of Winston-Salem, N.C., James Monroe (Ren) of Colonial Beach and Thomas "T-Bird" Monroe of King George; three daughters, Rene Ballard of Stafford County, Shirrelle Berkeley of Chesterfield and Jacqueline Kay of Spotsylvania; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Brown of King George and Donald Brown of Spotsylvania; and two sisters, Vertalia Brown of King George and Joyanne May of Washington, D.C.
A viewing will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Cedell Brooks Funeral Home, Port Royal and one hour prior to the service at the church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Antioch Baptist Church in King George, where a service will be held at 1 p.m, Thursday, March 7, with Dr. Larry Finch officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in King George.
