Agnes Edwards Skinner, 91, of Caroline County, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Hughes Home.

Mrs. Skinner was crowned Ms. Fredericksburg in 1960. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church Port Royal. She was a very industrious homemaker and won many blue ribbons and the silver bowl at the Fredericksburg Fair. She won blue ribbons for her quilt making at the state fair in Richmond. Mrs. Skinner walked for over 40 years and collected over 10,000 Indian artifacts. They are now displayed in the museum at Port Royal.

Survivors include her children Lloyd J. "Johnny" Skinner Jr. (Dawn) of Port Royal, Eddie Skinner (Jacquelyn) of Harrisonburg and Donald "Moe" Skinner (Alice) of Spotsylvania County; son-in-law Hollingsworth "Worth" McMillion of Amelia; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy Monroe of Stafford County; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lloyd J. Skinner Sr.; daughter Gloria Jean McMillion; grandson Mac McMillion; sister Maude Meade; brother Ralph Edwards; half-sister Virginia Stevens; and half-brother Charles P. Edwards.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday, Mar. 8 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at noon Saturday, Mar. 9 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
