Alvin Assmann, a prominent farmer of the town of Mishicott, passed
away at the Holy Family hospital at Manitowoc Sunday evening, after
an operation for appendicitis.
Mr. Assman was 38 years of age and was born on the old homestead in
which he resided. He was married to Celia Gelser 18 years ago and is
survived by his widow, two children, an aged mother, and three
brothers, Ira and Adolph of Mishicot and William of Athens, Wis. The
funeral took place Wednesday afternoon from St. Peter's Lutheran
church. Rev. Zell officiated. The remains were taken to the Saxonburg
cemetery.
