BATH (NY) — Howard A. Hosmer, 71, of Risingville, died Friday night (Jan. 31, 1969) in the Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital.

Born in Gold, Pa,, Nov. 28, 1897, he was a son of Robert and Stella Brizzee Hosmer.

Mr. Hosmer was a retired fireman for the Pollio Dairy Inc. at Campbell, He was a member of the Risingville Methodist Church and the Merchantsville Grange.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen Walton Hosmer, at home: three daughters, Mrs. John Solosky of Hammondsport, Mrs. Francis Shattuck of Risingville and Mrs. Roger Babcock of Beverly, Mass.; a son, Lysle Hosmer of Risingville; two sisters, Mrs. Ronald Burns of Bath and Mrs. Layton Hart of Cohocton; two brothers Owen Hosmer of Bradford and Donald Hosmer of Bath; 11 grand-children and one great-grandchild.

Calling hours will be Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Bond Funeral Home here.

Funeral services will he there Tuesday at 2 p.m. the Rev. Clifford Whitehead pastor of the Risingville Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Nondaga Cemetery here. (Feb. 1, 1969, Leader)
