Jonathon "Jonny" Johnson, age 23, of Stamps, AR. passed away August 3, 2009 in Texarkana, AR.
He was born November 21, 1985 in Lubbock ,TX to Roy and Cathy Powell Johnson.
Jonny was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a college student and a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Texarkana.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Orville Powell; and great grandparents, Buford and Eunice Johnson, Elmer and Ora Wilson, and Dale and Gladys Tonnemaker.
Survivors include, his parents, Rev. Roy and Cathy Johnson; two sisters, Katie and husband Carlton Hartsfield, and Holly Johnson all of Stamps; grandparents, Donnie and Jerry Powell of Springhill and Rev. Wayne and Vera Johnson of Shover Springs; great grandmother, Bernice Powell of Hope; two nieces, Noelle Johnson and Isabella Hartsfield both of Stamps; one nephew, Jackson Hartsfield of Stamps; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Services are entrusted to Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home and will be held Friday August 7, 2009, 10:00 AM at Bethany Baptist Church in Springhill, Ar. with Dr. Greg Jones officiating .
Interment will follow at Betts Cemetery under the direction of Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at the Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home on Thursday, August 6, 2009 between the hours of 6-8 PM.
