Mrs. Mathilda Zych, 91, died Wednesday night at the home of a daughter,
Mrs. Theresa Knipp, Rt. 3, Manitowoc, where she had resided since 1948(?).
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Pfefer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic church, Nordheim. The
Ref. Arthur Danks will officiate and burial will be in the church
cemetery.
The former Mathilda Mella was born Dec. 10, 1874, at Manitowoc, daughter
of the late Joseph and Rose Mrotek Mella. She was married in 1898 to
Stephan Zych and the couple lived at Manitowoc 12 years before operating
a farm in the Town of Newton. The husband died in 19??.
Mrs. Zych is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Knipp, Mrs. William Re?ewski
of Chicago and Miss Frances Zych of Manitowoc; five sons, John, Joseph,
Alex and Stephan of Rt. 3, Manitowoc and Felix(?) of Manitowoc and five(?)
grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday where the Rosary
will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
