She has been a lifelong resident of Battle Creek and was a 1944 graduate of Battle Creek High School. Marilyn work as an office manager for Troxel Real Estate until retirement. She was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Altrussa. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and her grandchildren.
In 1946 she was united in marriage to William L. Graves, who preceded her in death in 1979. Surviving is one son, Richard E. (Debbie) Graves of Battle Creek; two grandchildren, Karissa and Abbey; one brother, Richard E. Brigstock of Battle Creek; one sister, Joyce A. Hall of Earlsville, Maryland. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy Jean Graves in 1950 and Kathryn J. Zajac.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home, with Reverend Dr. James Gysel of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, officiating. Family will receive friends Monday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the National Kidney Foundation.
