Wanda Jo Franklin was born December 28, 1925 in Oklahoma City, OK to parents Denton D. and Beulah Belle James, and passed away in University Place, WA on June 24, 2009. She moved to Dallas, TX at the age of 5 and lived there until her move to Seattle in 1951 and then Tacoma in 1952. Wanda is survived by two daughters Rose Marie Kelly and Suzanne Thurman, a grandson Cain M. Thurman, and a brother Charles E. Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, John Sorenson Franklin. She had a gentle and loving spirit. At her request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to the American Heart Association.
