WESTFIELD - Arthur J. Pfaff, 55, of 529 First St., died Friday at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, as a result of burns suffered Mar. 10 in a work accident at the Singer Manufacturing Co., Elizabeth.

Mr. Pfaff has been employed for 20 years in the maintenance department.

Born in Elizabeth, he had lived 53 years in Westfield.

Mr. Pfaff was graduated from Holy Trinity High School and was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. May C. Powers Pfaff; a brother, Robert J. of Colonia; two sisters, Mrs. John A. Tammaro of Spring Lake and Miss Eleanor Pfaff of Westfield, supervisor of music in the Chatham Boro public school system.

The funeral was held Tuesday at the Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Ave., and at Holy Trinity Church where a funeral mass was offered by the pastor, the Rev. Msgr. Charles B. Murphy. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Plainfield.
