Michael J Collins, 79, died yesterday afternoon at the home of his son, James Collins of 181 Pine Street, Florence, after a short illness. He was born in Ireland and had been a resident of this city for 50 years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of the Church of the Annunciation, Florence. Mr. Collins leaves one daughter, Mrs. C.J. Petty, and two sons, Dennis and Clement, all of South Norwalk, CT and his son James, with whom he made his home. The Funeral will be held from the home at 8:30 am on Thursday, followed by a high Mass of requiem in the Church of the Annunciation at 9. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Northampton.
