Frank A. Douglass Jr. Frank A Douglass Jr., 86, passed over to his eternal home at his residence on Wednesday, Dec 4th following a long illness. Born in Salters SC, he was the son of the late Francis A. Douglass and Carrie Sparks Douglass. He was a graduate of Kingstree High School and attended Clemson University before serving in the US Navy during World War II. After serving his country, he finished his education at the University of Florida School of Forestry. He began his career in the forestry industry with West Virginia Pulp and Paper. He later started, F.A. Douglass, Jr. Company, a consulting forestry firm. He was also certified as a Real Estate Broker. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 47 years, Elaine Laird Douglass; his first wife, Rebecca Frierson Douglass and 3 sisters. Frank was a member of Lake City First Baptist Church and a charter member of Northside Baptist Chapel where he served on various committees and especially enjoyed his role as a greeter. He was a devoted husband and father, faithful to the Lord, his family and many friends. He was well known for his big heart, jovial spirit and open hands to all who met him. He was an extreme Clemson fan and served Clemson University as IPTAY Representative for over 40 years. (Go Tigers!) The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lake City First Baptist Church.
