Mrs. Martha L. Doney, 78, widow of James Doney, died at her home in Dugway last Friday morning
after a long illness. Mrs. Doney was born in Fernwood, then Holmesville, July 25, 1860, a daughter of Peter and Samantha Simmons Carr, but most of her life was passed in Dugway. She was a member of Albion Center Grange and Dugway Methodist church and active in both when health permitted. Surviving are two daughters, Miss
Bessie Doney of Dugway, and Mrs. Madge Sheeley of Syracuse . The funeral was held in the home last Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. Butler officiating. Burial in Dugway cemetery.
