Paul Harvey Pelletier, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 27, 1923, to Harvey and Annie (Boucher) Pelletier in Butte. He was raised and proud to have lived in the McQueen Addition. He attended Holy Savior Elementary School and graduated from Boys' Central High School.

He married Louise Palagi July 16, 1944, at St. Helena Church in Meaderville. They were married for 33 years and were blessed with five children. He lovingly cared for Louise during her extended battle with Lou Gehrig's disease.

Paul worked as a warehouse foreman for the Great Northern and Burlington Northern Railroads until his retirement in 1983. During his employment, he enjoyed working with his brother and best friend, Joseph (Spike) Pelletier.

Paul was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed following his grandchildren in their many sporting endeavors. His favorite teams were the Butte High Bulldogs, Montana Tech Orediggers and the Notre Dame Fighting lrish. He was proud to have been a part of the Copper League baseball team where he enjoyed numerous ongoing friendships.

He was a member of St. Ann's Parish and the McQueen Athletic Club. His favorite pastime was gardening and he took great pride in his beautiful yard. Paul valued his family and enjoyed sharing his time with them. He always had a smile and a zest for life.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise; his first-born infant son; his son, Greg; siblings, Blanche Erickson and Joseph Pelletier; and in-laws, Larry (Lois) Palagi.

Paul is survived by his daughters, Paulette (John) Geach, Kris (Greg) Loushin and Sheri (Scott) Salo; grandchildren, Jennifer Geach, Tiffany (Tony) Moog, Bryan (Jessica) Loushin, Brodie Loushin, Molly (Bryan) McNabb, Marissa (Mike) Morgan, Cole Salo and Conor Salo; great-grandchildren, Emma Shirilla, Kyler Moog, Carter Moog, Ava Moog, Nora Loushin and Gavin Morgan; siblings, Jeanette Trythall and Ray (Myra) Pelletier; sisters-in-law, Mary Jean Pelletier and Laura Capp; and numerous nieces and nephews.

How blessed and fortunate we all have been to have had him in our lives.

In accordance with his request, cremation has taken place and ashes will be interred at Holy Cross Cemetery. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, March 8, with visitation at 9 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Family suggests donations to the charity of your choice.
