Lorraine F. Gregg 77, of Quinton Twp. passed away on Wednesday morning March 6, 2013 in South Jersey Regional Medical Center, Vineland. She had been seriously ill for the past ten months.
Born in Back Neck Fairton, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Anna (nee Carney) Johnson, and the wife of Charles W. Gregg.
Lorraine grew up in Fairton, and had lived at her present address since 1955. She was formerly employed with Owens Illinois, and currently worked as a genealogist for the Nanticoke Lenni Lenape Indian Tribe of Bridgeton, of which she was a proud member. She enjoyed her work and was instrumental in providing the obituaries for many of the tribes people on the Mitsawokett genealogical website for the New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania area people. She enjoyed doing beadwork, making jewelry, and going to Pow Wows. She also was a former treasurer for the tribe's center in Bridgeton. Her smile and gentle way will be missed by many.
She leaves to cherish, her husband Charles W. Gregg and her three grandsons, Tyrone Ellis and his wife Lea, Ezekiel Evans, and Braiden Gould, her four brothers Robert Johnson of Back Neck, Allan Johnson of Bridgeton, Wayne Johnson of North Carolina, and Gary Johnson of South Carolina, her two great grandchildren Mathyas Ellis, Leana Ellis and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many many friends.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her daughter Lisa Pierce Brown, two sisters Marie Jones and Elaine Cuff, and two brothers Warren Johnson and Tommy Johnson.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday March 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from the Sray-Webster Funeral Home, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll's Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. The interment will be in Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Twp.
