Dana Draper Ward,103, of Enfield, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at 1:14 p.m. at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born October 9, 1909 in Dahlgren, IL, the daughter of Byrd Lanier and Stella Grace (Hillyard) Wilson. Dana marrried Maurice Draper in 1931 and he preceded her in death in March 1956. She then married Irvin Ward in May 1969 and he preceded her in death in 1983. Dana was a homemaker and did babysitting and cleaning for others. She was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church.

Dana is survived by a daughter, Linda Draper of Enfield; a daughter-in-law, Pat Draper of Carmi; two grandchildren and their wives, Chris and Cindi Draper of Raleigh, IL and Jason and Leann Draper of Carmi; and three great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Abigail and Emmaline Draper. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Draper; and two sisters, Velma Murdach and Pearl Foley.

Funeral services for Dana Draper Ward, 103, of Enfield, will be Friday, March 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Rev. Jon Westfall and Mike Fields officiating. Burial will be in Enfield Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
