Charlotte (nee Montrose) Parsons, 89, of Bridgewater, N.J., formerly of Keyport, passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, at the N.J. Eastern Star Home, Bridgewater, where she resided.
Family and friends are invited on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, N.J., with an 8 p.m. service at the funeral home. On Friday, there will be a 10 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Clinton Cemetery, Irvington. Charlotte was born in Newark. She was twice state counselor and lifelong member of the Daughters of America and a member of the Eastern Star of New Jersey for 25 years. Charlotte was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary and member of the American Legion, Keyport,and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, Iselin, and the Rebeka Lodge of New Jersey.
Charlotte was predeceased by her husband, Mahlon Parsons, in 1980, and her parents, Elmar and Gertrude E. Montrose. She is survived by her loving children, Carol Lynn Betty and her husband, Joe, of Sebring, Fla., and Glenn Parsons of Metuchen, N.J.; a dear brother, Ronald Montrose and his wife, Carol, of East Hanover, N.J.; four cherished grandchildren and seven precious great-grandchildren.
