Edward ("Eddie") Reeves, 61, resident of Zachary, LA; native of Pascagoula, MS, was called Home, Friday, September 28, 2012, after a brave two year battle with cancer.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was a member of IBEW, Local 903, of Gulfport,, MS. Eddie worked as an Electrical Technician throughout the United States for many years; however, he spent most of that time working at the River Bend Nuclear Station in St. Francisville, LA, Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN, and Cape Canaveral, FL on the Titan Missile Program.

He was also founder and owner of Sunrise Technical Services, Inc, a very successful company, which served the Petrochemical Industry with compliance documentation in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

More recently, Eddie wanted to go back to his roots and work as an Electrician in the Baton Rouge area. He made many long lasting relationships with all that he encountered, and always said that he truly enjoyed working with and teaching the young Electricians on a daily basis. He made a lot of friends working contract work over the past several years, and truly loved each and every one of the people he met during that time.

He was a loving husband, daddy and "PaPa" to his grandchildren. He leaves a legacy of honor, integrity, bravery and faith to all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gayle Foster Reeves, three children; Edward Patrick Reeves (Erika) of Dallas Texas; Heather (Brad) Duplessis of Watson, LA and Heath Reeves (Jessica) of Baton Rouge, LA.;

seven grandchildren ~ Alexis Duplessis, Makenzie Duplessis, Jada Duplessis, Ivan Roman, Jolie Roman, Autry Reeves, and Marissa Reeves, who is arriving on October 15th. (He was eagerly awaiting the births of Autry and Marissa, but God called him Home ahead of time to bless both of them before they arrived here on earth.)

He was a man of nature, as he loved fishing, hunting, and gardening.

The Celebration of Eddie's Life will be held at the Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, MS. (9721 MS. 63, Moss Point, MS) Heritage Funeral Home, in Escatawpa, MS is in charge of arrangements.
