Bonnie Lucille (Medsker) Simpson, 94, died Saturday (Feb. 23, 2013) in Marshall, Illinois.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Martinsville Bible Church, Martinsville, Illinois with the Rev. Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will be at Medsker Cemetery in Martinsville, Illinois. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Martinsville Bible Church. Greenwell Funeral Home in Martinsville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born March 6, 1918, in Clark County, Illinois the daughter of Harry and Gussie Swim Medsker. She married Darrell Simpson in 1933; he died in 1997.
Survivors include one son, Larry Simpson of Martinsville, Illinois; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, and one sister; one son, Bernard "Bernie" Simpson, died hours after her death.
Mrs. Simpson was formerly employed at Form a Lite in Marshall, Illinois. She was a member of Island Grove Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school.
