Mr. David M. Kirkland, 63, of Rt. 9 Milton, died Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital. Mr. Kirkland was a native of Dothan, Ala., and had resided in Milton the past 17 years. He was a retired salesman of the American Foods Co. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gladys Kirkland of Milton; two sons, Danny L. Holt of Milton and David O. Kirkland of Chula Vista Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Anne Schnedler of Saratoga, Calif, and Mrs. Dorla Winston of Columbia, S.C.; three sisters. Mrs. Wessie Burnes of Cottonwood, Ala., Mrs. Jessie Hal of Malone, Fla. and Mrs. Pearl Exum of Cottonwood, Ala.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Burial will be in the Hickory Hammock Cemetery.
