Rev. Richard Andrew Rowe, Sr., age 83, of the Five Forks community, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. He was welcomed by his Lord and Savior in Heaven as he heard "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." Richard was born January 17, 1930, in Grayson to Claude Millard and Maggie Lee Adams Rowe and was a 1949 Dacula High School graduate. He was a Baptist preacher, a member of Yellow River Baptist Church for over 60 years, and a Korean War veteran. After retiring from 40 years of service at Sears in Atlanta, he continued to work as a house painter. He also continued to follow his calling and preached at many churches in and around Gwinnett County. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Coy and Bertie Mae Deal; brothers Thomas and Millard "Buddy" Rowe; granddaughter Mandy Rowe; sister-in-law Elizabeth "Wibby" Rowe; brothers-in-law; Byron Winters, Thomas Nash, Newman Bennett, Kenny and Rondell Deal. Survivors included his wife of 62 years, Frances Deal Rowe; sons and daughters-in-law, Rickey and Elaine Rowe of Colbert; Randy and Nedra Rowe of Dacula, and Rusty Rowe of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Brian Rowe and his wife Melissa of Monroe; Melody Rowe of Lawrenceville; Callie and Chad Rowe of Dacula; great-grandchildren, Carter, Patrick, and Mason Rowe of Monroe. Richard is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law; Troy and Carolyn Rowe, Roy and Matrie Rowe, all of Dacula; Polly Rowe Winters of Nashville, TN; Ruby Nash, Colon Deal, and Mildred Bennett of Lilburn; Royce and Gelane Deal of Lawrenceville; Willie Deal of Auburn; Betty Deal of Dacula; and several nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Graveside service was be held 2 PM, Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Yellow River Baptist Church Cemetery in Lilburn with Rev. Ollie V. Hayes officiating.
