Terry Lynn Hudson, 65, of Elizabeth City, NC died Monday, March 4, 2013 at his residence. A native of Pasquotank County, he was the son of the late Sal and Pearl Dail Hudson and the husband of Delores Faye Hudson. Mr. Hudson served in the US Army, worked for twelve years with the City of Elizabeth City and twelve years with the Salvation Army. He loved playing the guitar with Emma, rabbit hunting and his chewing tobacco. Paw Paw Terry will be greatly missed by all of us, especially Emma and Baby Josh. Play on Terry, until we meet again.

In addition to his wife of twenty five years, he is survived by two daughters Connie Gibbs and husband, Jerry of Camden; Cindy Scott of Camden; a son John "Danny" Carter and wife, Lisa of Elizabeth City; two brothers, Elton Hudson and Theodore Hudson; twelve grandchildren, Jason and Kim Gibbs, Jim and Ashley Scott, Josh and Sarah Gibbs, Sr., Mike and Leigh Gibbs, Brianna Scott, John Scott and Hannah and Joey Cafferello; four great grandchildren, Emma Gibbs, Josh Gibbs, Jr., Carson Gibbs and Trent Gibbs. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hudson was predeceased by a son, Joseph "Joe" Carter, a son-in-law James "Jim" Scott; two sisters Gladys, Elizabeth, and two brothers, Glen and Vernon.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Riddle Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Roland Cooper and Rev. John Mason officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence. Twiford Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church St., Elizabeth City, NC is assisting the Hudson family.
