SCALISE - Lillian (Rinaldo) Scalise, 82, 1329 West St., died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 1989, in River Bluff Nursing Home after a long illness. Born Feb. 21, 1907, i Roccamena, Italy, daughter of Benny and Catherine Parrovecchio. Lived 75 years in Rockford, coming from Italy. Married Joseph Rinaldo in 1927 in Rockford; he died in 1951. Then married Carlo Scalise in 1955 in Rockford; he died in 1975. Member St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Mary Club and Jesus, Mary and Joseph Society.

Survivors include seven sons, Thomas (Ann) Rinaldo, Rockford, Benny (Frances) Rinaldo, Phoenix, Ariz., Frank Rinaldo, Lake Forest, Sam Rinaldo, Lawrence (Melba) Rinaldo, John (Beverly) Rinaldo, Jack (Pat) Rinaldo, all of Rockford; one daughter, Claudia (Don) Waters, Diamond Lake; two stepsons, Alex (Frances) Scalise and Carl (Martha) Scalise, Rockford; three stepdaughters, Josephine (Ray) Naretta, Priscilla (Sam) Casaro and Pearl (Sygmont) Podgorny, Rockford; two brothers, Sam Perry and Tony (Josephine) Parrovecchio, Rockford; 22 grandchildren, 24 step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, 24 step-great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by two sisters, Mary Vincer and Laura Manarchy.

Services at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11, in Gasparinin & Oliveri Funeral Home, 707 Marchesano Drive, and at 9 a.m. in St. Anthony Catholic Church, with the Franciscan Fathers officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials to be established by family.
