Charles "Chuck" Junior Nance was born in Pierce, Oklahoma on February 22, 1928. Recently he celebrated his 85th birthday with much of the family and commented that "it was the best birthday he had in 85 years." On March 5, 2013 he left his earthly family for his eternal home.
Chuck, or Junior as he was known , led a very colorful life, including catching, breaking, and selling wild horses and working in the fields. He also worked as a mechanic, heavy equipment operator, and over the years owned his own self service gas station/towing company/repair shop in Barstow, California, and trucking company. He was a Jack~of~all~trades, and was looked to by many for advice on all things mechanical. He was widely known through~out the valley as an avid participant on the KTIP Trader's Market since it's very beginning.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Juanita Byars Nance, 3 daughters; Anita Alba and her husband Alfred, Georgia Nance Adams, all of Porterville, and Susan Holley Edmonds of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, brother Allen Nance and wife Elsa, of Turlock, California, and sister Elsie Belt of Keyes, California, 7 grandchildren,Debbie Hunsdorfer(Ryan)and Dennis Alba all of Porterville, Ca., Shannon Ellis(Wayne)of Barstow, Ca. Robert Wiggington(Maria) of Hesperia, Ca., and Christopher Munch(Charlotte) of Los Angeles, Ca. 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
His passing leaves a huge hole in our lives and we are thankful to have many wonderful memories of our times with him. We will always keep him in our hearts.<3
