Former Nikiski resident Jackie Goodwin passed quietly and peacefully due to pneumonia Thursday, April 14, 2011. She was 69.
Mrs. Goodwin was born May 1, 1931. In 1960 she moved to Sitka from Oregon with husband Don Goodwin, and sons John and Lee. She came to Nikiski in 1984 to help Lee raise her grandchildren.
She proved to be more help then anyone could possibly imagine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ester Tooley; son, John Goodwin; husband, Don Goodwin; and sister, Connie Beadles.
She is survived by brother, Aurthur Oberg; son, Lee Goodwin; grandson, Aaron Goodwin; granddaughter, Gina Kincaid; son-in-law, Travis Kincaid; and great grandchildren Ella and Cody.
Jackie did not want any services.
The family said, "If there is someone Out there that you Love and you haven't told them lately Please take the time out and let them know."
