FRANCES FISCHER
Mrs. Joseph (Frances) Fischer, 89, a former Whitelaw resident, died Friday morning in Manitowoc Health Care Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville and 11 a.m. in St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The Rev. Richard Heymen will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Fischer, nee Frances Koerner, was born Sept. 21, 1889 in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids, daughter of the late Anton and Frances Stuiber Koerner. She was married to Joseph Fischer Oct. 7, 1907 in St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The couple observed their 70th wedding anniversary in October, 1977. She was a charter member of Christian Mothers Society of St. Michael Church. Mr. Fischer preceded her in death Oct. 2, 1977.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Helen Fischer of Whitelaw; two daughters and sons-in-law, Bernice and Harold Gerl and Alice and Edward Skarda of Manitowoc; a brother, William Koerner of Whitelaw; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. An infant daughter, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call in Saur Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. by Father Heymen and Christian Mothers Society.
