Lived in Karnes, Bee, Atascosa and Wilson Counties in Texas. He applied for his pension several times and was denied for unknown reasons. In September 1914, his doctor certified that he was entirely disabled, almost blind and paralyzed. His wife received his pension only from January 1917 until her death in 1925.
