She was born Jan. 2, 1912, in Murphysboro to Edwin and May Handley Hanson. She was married April 7, 1929, in Murphysboro to Arthur Green.
Mrs. Green was a member of the First Christian Church of Murphysboro. She was also a member of the War Mothers.
Survivors include her husband; daughters, Jackie Mo Quaid of Millstadt, Dorothy Wright and Lillian McKinney, both of De Soto, Ruth Scott of Vergennes, Ida Luetkin of Chicago Ridge, and Arcille McDowell, Peggy Schott, Georgia Tincher and Linda Green, all of Murphysboro; sons, Robert, Joseph Richard and James, all of Murphysboro, Wayne of Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina, Thomas in Futema, Okinawa, and Gary in Kaiserlauten, Germany; 29 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Hanson of Corpus Christi, Tex., and Joseph Hanson of Glen Carbon; a sister Dorothy Schuster of Selma, Tenn.
