Thank you for you research on my 2nd great grandfather..I have information on the battle he was wounded at..May 16, 1864 at Drurys Bluff outside of Richmond, Va. he was shot in his left leg,May 17, 1864, he was admitted to Chimborzo Hospital, Richmond, Va. his left leg was removed.where he remained at the hospital until his death June 4,1864..I know this from actually going to the site and material that I got from my cousin Louise Parker Moore..you can also, find information on this from Fold 3..

Died 4 Jun 1865(American Civil War Solders states that he died from wounds on this date) in Richmond, Virginia. Battle unknown at this time. This cemetery was started in May 1861 and moved many previously buried soldiers here. There are over 17,000 soldiers her & over 5,000 unknown soldiers buried here

Original Date of Enlistment into the Confederacy is 5 March 1862 at ate 38.

"I have some good news. Nicholas Parker is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia. He is buried in Section F, Row O, Grave 14.
His military records show that he was born Sampson County, North Carolina age 38, occupation Farmer, height 5'8" high. He enlisted February 21, 1862 in Warsaw, Dublin County, North Carolina. His Muster Rolls for March to December 1862 present. January to April 1863 present Remarks: promoted to 3rd Cpl. April 9, 1863. May to December 1863 present. January and February 1864 present. Remarks; Home on 15 days furlough. Out February 29, 1864 return." 4by Mike Bordonie....
