Mrs. Parragh was of Hungarian ancestry. She was raised in Dearborn, MI., and graduated from Fordson High School. Both of her parents had come over from Hungary as teens, I do not know how they met. She learned the hungarian language first, and then english, along with her six siblings. Later in her life her fluency in the hungarian language, understanding of its culture, and her excellent hungarian cooking and baking skills would really come in handy. Not to mention her considerable musical ability and professional training in organ and piano; since she married a man who was a minister in the Hungarian Reformed Church. They were a perfect match.

Her mother, Amalia (Amelia, nee Kiraly) Pinkoczy had been married to a Mr. Kulscar, and had four sons with him. Amalia was widowed when her youngest son was very young. She remarried, to Zigmund Pinkoczy (his first marriage, I believe). Zigmund, (Grace's dad) and most of her brothers, found work at an auto manufacturing company . Zigmund and Amalia had 3 daughters together. Grace was the oldest daughter, then Rose, and then came Olga, who was the youngest of the family. She started studying music at the age of 6, and was very proficient in both piano and organ. She became the organist for her church as a teenager. She graduated from the Detroit Conservatory of Music, and eventually studied at Julliard School of Music in New York. While there, she met her future husband, Desmond. He served as a minister in Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ churches. She was the choral director and organist in those churches, and also worked outside of the home in a secretarial position. They raised one daughter together, and at the time of her death, she had three married grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren, of whom she was very proud. She was predeceased by her parents, and six siblings.

She was also predeceased by her beloved and devoted husband, Desmond, in 2006. They spent the last 25 - 30 years or so of her husband's professional life in the greater Chicago, Illinois area. After his retirement, they moved to Wisconsin, to be near their only child, a daughter, and their grandchildren, who are now grown with children of their own. One of their grandsons also became a protestant minister. They had a very strong and loving marriage. Rest in peace, you have been reunited with your loving husband, may the Lord bless you both.
