Darryl Fredrick Arnos was born on 10 Sept. 1949 in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, and died on 8 Aug. 1990 in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana. He is the adopted son of Owen Stanley Arnos and Marguerite Marie Amelia Bearman. He married Cheryl Braun on 21 June 1969 in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana. Darryl worked for Fort Wayne Air Service, refueling aiplanes, and for the Fort Wayne Airport Authority as a mechanic at Baer Field Airport until he became disabled. Upon discovering his diabetes when he went into a diabetic acoma as a very young man, his body gradually succombed to the disease. At the time of his death he was compeltely blind. Beyond airplanes, Darryl also loved auto racing and worked on cars with his friends to race at Baer Field Raceway, a passion he handed down to his sons.
