He is survived by his wife, the former Virginia Loudermilk, who he married Feb. 13, 1946. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William; grandchildren, Paul William and Judy Marlene; his brothers, Franklin and Eddy; and his sister, Helen Malone.
One hour of calling will be observed Monday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the Huntley & Cremeens Funeral Home. Immediately following, there will be a graveside service, with Pastor Perry Bradford officiating, at the Salem Cemetery. Military Honors will be presented by Wellston Post 371 of the American Legion. Salem Cemetery will serve as his final resting place.
Note: James Albert Canter was the son of Franklin Marion Canter and Azaline Angelena Ozaline HUCKABEE not the son of Wm and Ivadell Canter, but they raised him. He always called them ma and pa.
