Johannes Kreisseler was baptised on 2 December 1703 in Guntersblum, Lower Palatinate, witnessed by Johannes Eyrich, sexton or cooper there). He came with his parents to Amercia ca. 1709 as many poor Germans from the Palatinate region were attracted to the prospects of free land in the Brtish colines, espcially New Yjork.

His father was Johann Philipp Kreußler (baptised on 26 January 1679 in Niederneisen, Germany, and died after 1744 probably in Schoharie Valley, New York). His mother was married Anna Catharina Braun.

Johann was confirmed on Easter 1717 at Newtown and recorded in the West Camp Lutheran Churchbook.

He married Anna Eva Catherina Manck about 1725, and appeared on a list of Palatine Debtors 13 December 1747. Johannes, Antje, Elisabeth, and Margriet (see link below) joined the Red Hook Lutheran Church 5 April 1749. He was recorded on tax rolls for Rhinebeck from 1738/39 to February 1753, when his estate was listed.
