Rosie Lee McCoy, age 59, of Prestonsburg, wife of James McCoy, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born April 16, 1953, in Stanford, a daughter of Emma Brown King and the late James King.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Cow Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her father, Rosie was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Scott and Teresa Griffin.
Rosie is survived by her husband, James McCoy, of Prestonsburg, mother, Emma Brown King, of Stanford, a son, Zachary D. McCoy, of Prestonsburg, six brothers, James "Buddy" King, of Berea, and Stevie King, Ricky King, Marvin King Bobby King, and Johnny King, all of McKinney, two sisters, Dora Sherbert, of Lexington, and Virginia Gordon, of Stanford, and a grandson, Ryder McCoy.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the Cow Creek Freewill Baptist Church, in Prestonsburg, with Nathan Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow in the Gethsemane Gardens, in Prestonsburg.
Visitation will be held after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
