At the age of 16, Millie married Marion Francis McNew on May 27, 1879 in Ripley County, Indiana. The couple had 5 sons. Marion McNew died 10 yrs later in 1889 leaving Millie a widow with 5 small sons.
A few years after the death of her 1st husband, Millie married William Barnes in 1893 in Indiana and had 3 more children. She and William Barnes divorced in 1910.
Millie married for a 3rd time in 1916 in Shelby County, Indiana to Nicholas Borden. That marriage only lasted a few years and also ended in divorce.
Millie was living in Shelby County, Indiana at the time of her death in 1922 at the age of 60. She was buried at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, Indiana beside one of her sons, John Marion McNew.
